Who We Are

Quanta is a UK-headquartered technology company that designs, builds and operates AI, data and software systems. This policy covers personal data processed through our website (quantainnovation.ai), the Quanta Platform web portal (portal.quantainnovation.ai) and the Quanta Portal mobile app for iOS and Android (together, the "Services").

The Quanta Platform is a business product. Accounts are created and administered by your employer or organisation, which controls who has access and what data the platform connects to. For data held in your organisation's systems, your organisation is the data controller and Quanta acts as a processor. For website enquiries and the operation of our own Services, Quanta is the controller. Questions can be sent to [email protected].

Data We Collect

• → Account details - your name, work email address, username and role, set up by your organisation's administrator. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.
• → Content you submit - messages you send to AI assistants, glossary and memory entries, scheduled tasks, report and dashboard configurations, and files you upload.
• → Service records - conversation history, notifications, task results and audit logs generated as you use the platform.
• → Technical data - IP addresses, timestamps, device platform and app version, collected in server logs for security and reliability.
• → Website enquiries - the name, company, email address and message you choose to send via our contact form.

The Mobile App

The Quanta Portal mobile app is a thin client for the Quanta Platform: it holds no databases of its own and all data is fetched from our API over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Sign-in tokens are stored in your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain or Android Keystore) and are removed when you log out. The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. It does not request access to your camera, photos, location, contacts or microphone. App updates are delivered through Expo Application Services, which processes basic device metadata (platform and app version) to serve the correct update.

How We Use Data

We use personal data to operate the Services: authenticating you, running the AI assistants and scheduled tasks you request, rendering reports and dashboards, sending you the notifications your organisation has configured, providing support, and keeping the platform secure. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Service Providers

We use a small number of subprocessors to run the Services: Amazon Web Services (hosting, with data stored in the UK/EU region), OpenAI (processing of AI assistant messages to generate responses - API content is not used to train OpenAI's models), Microsoft (Power BI dashboards embedded in the platform) and Expo Application Services (mobile app builds and updates). Each provider processes only what is needed for its function.

Retention & Your Rights

We retain account data and service records for as long as your organisation's agreement with Quanta is active, or as needed to meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted. Because accounts are administered by your organisation, requests to access, correct or delete your account data can be made through your administrator or directly to us at [email protected].

Under UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

The Services are business tools provided through employer accounts and are not directed at children.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
